Extreme Couponing

So here we go on another adventure, hopefully one that will be saving me lots of money.  I have seen the show on TLC and thot, if they can do it so can I.  Little did I know, several of my friends are doing it.  Yesterday, I went to the local Wally World and bought my binder, sleeves, tabs, calculator, pen and an ALL YOU magazine.  I have liked this mag for a while but never paid much attention to the coupons.  I will be clipping several out.  Actually, I am clipping all of them because I am also making dear sissy a binder to go with mine.  Mines pink, hers purple.  Got to be fashionable if we are going to be spending hours in a grocery store.  So now my facebook is blown up with all kinds of coupon clippers posting coupon links, also have started a swagbucks account.  You earn swagbucks by doing certain stuff.  Today I have already earned 88 swagbucks.  A few more and I can cash in for an Amazon gift card!!!  WooHoo!!!!   I love AMAZON.  So here is a couple links from my sweet friends that are helping me start my coupon adventure.  http://www.savethecoupons.com/   and http://www.consumerqueen.com/    If you go to the save the coupons site, you can enter to win a binder FULL, I said FULLLL of coupons.  Just make sure you put me down as who referred you, I get another chance in the drawing if you do.  Homeland is the closest store to me that doubles coupons etc. so I have tentatively planned a trip Monday or Tuesday and the best part.....the have a 3 day sale going on that ends tuesday.  Now that thats out of the way, onto the rest of my life.  Got our storage building delivered yesterday.  Hubby and Kiddos are supposed to clean out the farm house then when I wake up tomorrow I will clean it for the arrival of my Father in Law from Texas.  He is pushing 70 and health is bad.  His nickname since I met him has been Grumpy Old Fart and believe me, he is living up to his name lately.  Actually, his health is bad and all his kids are living here in OK so it just makes sense for him to move here.  We were fortunate enough to have a 2nd house for him to move into.
Brutus is doing great.  He has his own facebook page so if your not his friend, you need to be.  He gives his perspective of the happening on the farm.  I haven't gotten any new dresses made this past week.  Had to remake the Watermelon Queen and the Pink and Green John Deer one.  Delievered those and had another happy customer.  Now I still have the size 6-7 available in both of those if your interested.  $18 plus Shipping if I have to ship.  Well, guess I better get off here and finish my coupon binders.  Tootles folks!

Brutus the wonder dog!

Here is my baby boy Brutus!  Sshhh, he doesn't know he is a dog.  Today we went to town to run errands and he has figured out if he gets up in the window at drive thru windows. He gets treats.  Charles Chicken started it by giving him fried livers.  Today, the bank teller gave him a doggie treat.  I will never get him out of my window now.  He has decided he likes to sleep under my covers so at any given time during the night, he will scratch me so I will raise up the covers for him too crawl under.  Huby said he is spoiled, I say loved.

Watermelon Queen and Pink John Deer

These are a size 3 for a lady I work with. I love the John Deer one. Today a lady at church brought me a bunch of buttons. I had done a praise report a few weeks ago and said I was looking in the newspaper for garage sales and as I was looking I was silently praying about wishing I could find a bunch of buttons. The very next garage sale ad listed buttons. So, I got up and went garage saleing that saturday morning. I hit paydirt and got 2 1/2 quarts of buttons for $20. That's my praise report.

My First Blog

So here I sit, learning how to blog.  I just wanted to make a few little dresses for my sweet little neice Ali and now I have a full blown Dress Operation as my hubby says.  I am loving the dress making business.  Little Ali was my very first model and one day, I will post a pic of that precious little thing but for now, I will post a pic of a set of 3 dresses that I have made for sisters.  3month, 18 month and 6 years.  They are one of my favorite sets that I have made.  That is the set above.  Mom seemed really pleased about them.  I have made so many more and I will post those eventually.  For now, I am almost caught up on orders and going to start on extras for our Reunion Days here in June.    If you would like to purchase one, they come in size 3 months to girls 14.  Sometimes I can make an adult one if I have measurements to go by but I prefer to make little girl dresses.  I did make a mom and two daughters for Easter.  So if you would like to buy one, they are $18 plus shipping if I have to ship.  Usually just a couple dollars for shipping though.
This is the 3 month old one up close.  I am attempting to start making bloomers or diaper covers or whatever you prefer to call them.  I am really excited about this blogging thing.  Thank you to my friend Lexi that has inspired me to blog.  She has got it going on in the crafts department.  If you would like to visit her blog look for it under SexyLexisKoolKrafts.  She has some awesome stuff she has done on there.
On another note, here is a pic of my hubby and I and one of my pride and joy, Brutus the obese Yorkie.  He isn't actually obese, he is just a big Yorkie.  10 lbs to be exact.  He is my baby boy and he doesn't let me get too far out of his site....lol   We also have an Akita named Sassy who is our guard dog.  Her and Brutus like to go off on what we call Big Dog/Little Dog adventures.  Sometimes, the vet has to get involved in their adventures so we try to keep an eye on them when they are outside.  My hubby and I will have been married 8 years this year in December.  Its been a journey but one I wouldnt trade for anything.  I love him very much.  Well, guess thats about all I have to say tonight.  Hope you enjoy my blog and my dresses.
